Factors Affecting Wear of Material Handling Pipes

Material-transporting ceramic lined pipes are the blood of industrial production, ensuring the service life of pipes is a prerequisite for safe and efficient production. The wear of straight pipes is generally much less than that of bent pipes. Therefore, the wear of the elbow is mainly taken into consideration in pneumatic transportation. For example, transporting iron powder use an ordinary steel elbow for continuous transportation for 2 hours, the elbow will be worn through; if the bend radius of the elbow is too small,The crushing rate will increase if transporting brittle materials; the bending radius will be too large, and the delivery of synthetic material will create problems with drawing.
According to Chemshun Ceramics long-term experience, the main factors that cause material wear or friction on the inner wall of the pipe are as follows:
(1) The physical properties of the material being transported. Including particle size and shape, concentration, hardness, moisture, breakage, and adhesion.
(2) The condition of the conveying pipe. Including the material and metal composition of the pipe, hardness, surface processing conditions, internal diameter, layout and shape.
(3) Conveying conditions. Including the transmission of air speed, feed gas ratio, temperature and flow conditions.
In the actual transportation, the above factors have not only existed in the impact of wear, but a combination of them. Therefore, ceramic lined pipe can effectively solve these wear problem better
