What is a wear-resistant ceramic composite pipe?
Wear-resistant ceramic composite pipe, manufactured by bonding a pre-sintered integral ceramic tube onto the inner wall of a steel pipe using epoxy resin adhesive. This process creates a continuous, seamless ceramic covering layer on the inner wall, with a carbon steel outer layer, and the interface between ceramic and steel is firmly bonded by the epoxy resin adhesive. This composite structure combines the high hardness and wear resistance of ceramic materials with the flexural strength and impact toughness of steel pipe. The inner ceramic surface is smooth and flat with good sealing properties, and also exhibits resistance to corrosion and moderate temperatures.
In terms of performance, the inner ceramic layer exhibits high surface hardness and density, effectively resisting erosion and gouging wear caused by solid particulate materials during high-speed conveying. The epoxy resin adhesive layer serves as a buffer and bonding medium between the ceramic tube and the steel pipe, accommodating differences in thermal expansion coefficients while transmitting and dispersing mechanical loads, preventing ceramic layer detachment or cracking. The smooth inner surface reduces frictional resistance during material transport, lowering the risk of pipe blockage and material build-up. The product operates stably over a wide temperature range, meeting the requirements of most industrial operating conditions.
This product is widely used in material conveying piping systems across industries including power generation, metallurgy, mining, coal, chemical processing, and building materials. In coal-fired power plants, it is commonly used for ash removal, slag discharge, and pulverized coal conveying pipelines; in mineral processing and metallurgy, it is applied to pipelines for ore powder, concentrate, and tailings; in cement and chemical industries, it is used for conveying raw materials, finished powder, and corrosive slurries containing solid particles. For highly abrasive or corrosive media, ceramic-lined steel pipes significantly extend pipeline service life and reduce unplanned maintenance shutdowns, serving as a reliable alternative to traditional alloy steel pipes and rubber-lined pipes.
