Wear-Resistant Alumina Ceramic Lining Bricks: A High-hardness, Long-Life Grinding Solution
Our wear-resistant alumina ceramic lining bricks are manufactured from high-purity alpha-alumina powder and fired at temperatures exceeding 1700°C. They feature an Al2O3 content of ≥92%, a bulk density of ≥3.65g/cm³, a Mohs hardness of 9, water absorption below 0.05%, compressive strength exceeding 2000MPa, and flexural strength over 300MPa. The dense, microcrystalline structure yields an exceptionally low wear volume (typically ≤0.20cm³ per ISO 10545-6) and outstanding impact resistance, enabling the bricks to maintain geometric integrity and a smooth surface under continuous wet or dry grinding. This results in drastically reduced maintenance intervals for mill shells and a consistently high throughput.
In operation, these lining bricks eliminate iron contamination by forming a robust non-metallic barrier, safeguarding product purity in glazes, electronic materials and fine chemicals. Their uniform thickness and high surface smoothness help optimize grinding media trajectories, boosting ball mill efficiency by over 20%. Compared with conventional flint or rubber linings, alumina ceramic liners deliver a three- to fivefold increase in service life, lowering total ownership costs by an average of 30%–50% when factoring in downtime, replacement and labor. For any continuous grinding circuit pursuing both productivity and cost control, they represent a proven, economical upgrade.
We supply standard rectangular, trapezoidal, wedge and custom-engineered shapes, with wall thickness and curvature precisely matched to mill diameter. These bricks are proven in batch and continuous ball mills across the ceramics, mining, cement, coatings and chemical industries. Our facility is ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified; every shipment includes dimensional and physico-chemical test reports. Global door-to-door logistics are available.
